Environmental Policy


TS Booker & Son (manufacturing) Ltd. recognises that the protection and conservation of the environment is an important aspect of the company's overall performance and also a major responsibility of the management. The operations director is responsible for ensuring that this policy is understood, implemented and maintained at all levels in the company.


The company is committed to continual improvement on environmental performance and the prevention of pollution by the setting of objectives and regular monitoring. The areas that are regularly measured include but are not limited to:


  • Energy consumption
  • Generation of waste
  • Recycling opportunities

Environmental issues are considered during all aspects of the processes and transportation. In performing its day-to-day operations, the company will comply with current legislation and other requirements relevant to the processes and services of the business, this includes co-operating fully with regulatory bodies.


The company does not use wood from forest areas where traditional or civil rights are violated, forest areas where high conservation values are threatened, wood from genetically modified trees, wood that has been harvested illegally or wood harvested from areas which have been converted from natural forest to plantations or non-forest uses.


Through regular training, employees at all levels are made aware of the potential environmental aspects of their activities and the environmental benefits of improved performance. The Company will require all sub-contractors and suppliers to accept the same operational standards as it imposes on itself. This policy statement is displayed on the company's premises and website. It is also publicly available to interested parties.
